Biography












  • 1962 - Born in Grand Prairie, TX

  • 1976 - Born-Again at Mt. Zion Baptist Camp, Paragould, AR

    • Joined the Youth Choir at the North Main Baptist Church, Jonesboro, AR

    • Began learning to play guitar with a Montgomery Ward (Gibson) given by his Father, and a Mel Bay Chord Book

  • 1977 - Wrote his first Gospel song ("Believe")

    • First acting role in the play "The Cell" as an old Christian in a Roman jail

  • 1978 - Joined the 8-person Chorale, "SALT" as the youngest member

    • Began training in Electronics and Computers at the Jonesboro Area Vocational-Technical School

    • Performed for an audience of over 5000 people at the Ridgecrest Baptist Camp, Ridgecrest NC

  • 1980 - Entered the U.S. Navy as an Electronic Warfare Technician

  • 1980 to 1993 - Continued singing, writing songs and playing guitar wherever able as he traveled around the world (to 23 countries).

  • 1993 - Retired from Active Duty as an E-6 (First Class Petty Officer/EW1)

    • Obtained first paid ministry position as the Youth and Music Director at The First Baptist Church in Clever, MO

  • 1996 - Joined the Praise Team of the Solid Rock Family Church in Jefferson City, MO

  • 1997 - Moved back to SW Missouri and began his first teaching position as a Computer Technology Instructor at Gibson Technical Center, Reeds Spring, MO

    • Enlisted in the Navy Reserves, Springfield, MO

  • 1998 - Formed the band "True Witness"

    • Became the Music Director for the First Baptist Church, Reeds Spring, MO

  • 1999 - True Witness traveled outside the US and ministered to the Bear River Nation Reservation in Bear River, Nova Scotia, Canada

  • 2000 - Recorded first album "Believe"

  • 2001 - Opened Brown's Computer Services shop in Reeds Spring, MO

  • 2002 - Recorded second CD ("Livin' in The Light")

    • Became a Computer Technology Instructor at Vatterott College in Springfield, MO

  • 2004 - Joined The King's Travelers (Gospel Quartet) singing lead and tenor

  • 2005 - Recorded "Thank You Lord" CD with The King's Travelers (featuring two of his originals: "Thank You" and "Heaven is A Better Place")

  • 2006 - Recorded "Old Hymns by Old Hims" CD with The King's Travelers

  • 2007 - Selected by The Mansion Theatre in Branson, Missouri to sing and act in "The Promise" (a Broadway-Style musical about the life, ministry and passion of Jesus Christ) where he portrayed 4 characters: a townsperson, Jairus, Simon the Zealot (a Disciple of Jesus), and Pontius Pilate

    • Became the Worship Leader for Faith in God Family Church in Crane, MO

  • 2008 - Co-founded the Contemporary Praise & Worship Band "New Anointing"

  • 2009 - Recorded "New Anointing" CD with New Anointing band at The Mansion Studios in Branson, MO

  • 2010 - Promoted to the position of IT Coordinator for the Springfield and Joplin Campuses of Vatterott College

    • Moved Brown's Computer Services shop to Billings, MO

    • Became the Praise Team Leader for The Aurora United Methodist Church in Aurora, MO

  • 2011 – Completed a six-city ministry tour to Oxford, MI; Southfield, MI; Springfield, OH; Marion, IL; Bear River, Nova Scotia; and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia (Canada)

    • Interviewed on two television shows:

      • “Living Faith” with David Reeves, on HTN Channel, Springfield, OH

      • “From Victim To Victory” with Brian Arnold, on TCT Network, Marion IL

  • 2012 – Interviewed on international radio program: “In Your Face” with Rob Ekno on Indie 104, Los Angeles, CA

  • 2013 – Chosen to be the Worship Leader for the Billings Assembly of God, Billings, MO

    • Signed a contract with AMTC (Actors, Models & Talent for Christ)

    • Landed first role ("Suited Man") in a local independent film ("The Asylum")

  • 2014 - Graduated from AMTC's training program
